*Training Services*

OG T&C offers a variety of training options for businesses, community groups and other organisations. The training can be "off the shelf", custom made or a combination of the two.

Community Training - "Off the shelf"

~No cost/low cost environmental hints and tips for you and your home
This two hour workshop uses a variety of exercises to enable members of the public to make their homes and lives more environmentally friendly. The training will include sessions on saving energy and water as well looking into waste solutions. The session will be a combination of sharing ideas within the group and tips from the trainer.

~Climate change - a beginners' guide
This two hour training session is aimed at members of the public who have little or no knowledge about climate change except for what they have read in the paper or seen on television. The session will answer questions such as: "What is the difference between climate change, global warming and the greenhouse effect?", "Isn't climate change just the same as ozone depletion?" and "how does climate change happen and what does this have to do with me?".

~Training for Volunteers (for those staffing a stand or eco/energy centre)
This training is aimed at volunteers who wish to increase their confidence in answering questions from members of the public about environmental issues. The training will be adapted to suit the needs/type of organisation for whom the volunteers work and can therefore cover a wide range of environmental subjects. The training helps volunteers to be confident in signposting and uses role play to build confidence in dealing with a variety of potential enquiries. This training can last half a day or can be more in depth and last a whole day.

~Community Training - custom made

Custom made training can cover a wide range of environmental/community issues from how to raise awareness of an issue in a community to writing a community action plan of environmental solutions.

*Training Prices* - please note that prices are for training up to 16 trainees in one session and can be negotiated depending on the exact nature of the training required and the resources available to the client organisation.

*Consultancy Services*

OG T&C offers a variety of consultancy services for businesses, community groups and other organisations. Although based in Knighton, Powys, the nature and mechanism of OG T&C service provision allows us to be effective across a wide geographic area. As a consequence, the services below can largely be provided remotely from OGT&Cs office.

~Project Coordination
OG T&C's Project coordination service can be used to oversee a project from start to finish or to oversee certain aspects of a project. Services include: managing the budget; setting up regular meetings between project stakeholders; collating relevant information; report writing and the management of volunteers.

~Event organisation
OG T&C offers a full service - overseeing the organisation of an event from start to finish. Elements involved usually include: organising speakers; compiling an invitation list and distributing invitations; selecting and hiring venue(s); organising catering; organising press coverage and developing and producing delegates' packs.

~Media campaign coordination
This service can be for a particular event or as part of ongoing awareness raising of a particular event, project or group. This service can be used to tell the world of your achievements.

~Schools Services
OG T&C provides schools with environmental training for staff and/or pupils. OG T&C can also advise schools of relevant support programmes that are available nationally or help a school to develop and manage a new project.

~Secretariat Services
OG T&C offers secretariat services to organisations or committees. This service would include minute taking, correspondence and dealing with the press.

~Facilitation
OG T&C provides facilitation services for events.
